The PED controversy did not faze slugger Nelson Cruz as he continued to show his power by hitting a home run in the first spring training game against the Kansas City Royals helping the Texas Rangers end in a dreaded tie 5-5.

The San Diego Padres are hoping the rookie second baseman Jedd Gyorko hits and fields his way to the starting 2B spot. If the first spring training game is any indication of future talent potential lived up to it was a game to watch. He made management turn heads to the outfield wall hitting as he hit a grand slam to help beat the Seattle Mariners 9-3.

The 2013 Baseball Season is upon his with spring training games. The Cleveland Indians and the Cincinnati Reds started it with a bang with a final box score of 11-10 and an Indians win.
Lonnie Chisenhall gets the Baseball Babe Award for the 1st Indians home run of the spring.
Lonnie is trying to solidify the 3B hot corner this spring and leave behind the 2012 season.
