Basketball Babe #4 Derrick Rose Chicago Bulls near $200 Million Adidas Shoe Deal

NBA All Star Derrick Rose and Reigning MVP signed a monumental basketball shoe deal with Adidas worth what could climb to a whopping $200M with incentives.
The signed deal is a 13 year deal with Adidas and guaranteed for $185M and with incentives could reach $200-$250M total!
The Chicago Bulls and the NBA might like the softening of the blow to the salary cap and increased player salaries. His last extension with the Bulls was only $94 over 5 years.
We will see lots more ads like these for the Adidas folks get their monies worth!
Throw in few commercials on TV for more of the 13 to 40 age group demographics!

Adidas should have signed him while coming out of a Memphis Tigers uniform they may have saved some $$$M?

or maybe high school at Simeon (Maybe the NCAA would balk on that one)?

I wonder if Dwight Howard or Ken Jeong "Slim Chin" will want a cut?

Baseball Babe #78 Honors Manny Ramirez Minor League Signing with Oakland A's

The Oakland Athletics dipped into the well and with little investment and minimal risk are taking their chances with Manny Ramirez.
Manny coming off of his reduced to 50 games suspension this season for an illegal drug failed test signed a minor league contract with A's for a prorated $500,000. The amount will be more like $300,000 under the league minimum after the suspension. Very cheap if Manny makes it back to the big show.
Could we find Manny Ramirez wearing a Triple AAA  Sacramento River Rats logo and fizzle away or in an Oakland A's uniform?
Will "Manny being Manny" effect the young talent such as Yoennis Cespedes positively or negatively? If the bat is there he can surely show the kids how to hit!

Wichita Heights senior power forward Perry Ellis has put his name down as one of the best high school basketball player in the nation. At 6'8' and 220 lbs he is a beast to br reckoned with at the high school level. The national basketball websites Scout.com ranked him the 36th ranked college prospect and Rivals.com followed up with 24th on their list.
The phenom started his acsent to greatness in junior high at Brooks Junior High.
Check out this dunk in of Perry while playing for Brooks!

The Falcon's coaches at Heights must have been jumping for joy and shaking in anticipation of Perry coming to them as a freshman!
Well they have not be disappointed so far. In the 2012 season the Falcons broke the state record for consecutive wins for a Kansas high school basketball team with 60 straight wins!
The team has flourished with the star on their team. His talents have been noticed as he passed Kansas legend Greg Dreiling as the scoring leader.

Perry Ellis also led Wichita Heights to a third consecutive Class 6A state title last season while averaging 22.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Now in his senior season he is looking to make it 4 straight.
So he has shown the nation he is ready for the next level!

The next level is the Kansas Jayhawks where he has signed his letter of intent on Sept. 21,  2012. He will be staying home and playing for Bill Self, a coach that went to his first game at Heights as a freshman. He will be wearing his number 34 that was once worn at KU by Paul Pierce.

Will the next level take him to the NBA like these great forwards did coming from high school... Lebron James, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant or Dirk Nowitzki and win a championship?
