Wichita Heights senior power forward Perry Ellis has put his name down as one of the best high school basketball player in the nation. At 6'8' and 220 lbs he is a beast to br reckoned with at the high school level. The national basketball websites Scout.com ranked him the 36th ranked college prospect and Rivals.com followed up with 24th on their list.
The phenom started his acsent to greatness in junior high at Brooks Junior High.
Check out this dunk in of Perry while playing for Brooks!
The Falcon's coaches at Heights must have been jumping for joy and shaking in anticipation of Perry coming to them as a freshman!
Well they have not be disappointed so far. In the 2012 season the Falcons broke the state record for consecutive wins for a Kansas high school basketball team with 60 straight wins!
The team has flourished with the star on their team. His talents have been noticed as he passed Kansas legend Greg Dreiling as the scoring leader.

Perry Ellis also led Wichita Heights to a third consecutive Class 6A state title last season while averaging 22.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. Now in his senior season he is looking to make it 4 straight.
The next level is the Kansas Jayhawks where he has signed his letter of intent on Sept. 21, 2012. He will be staying home and playing for Bill Self, a coach that went to his first game at Heights as a freshman. He will be wearing his number 34 that was once worn at KU by Paul Pierce.
Will the next level take him to the NBA like these great forwards did coming from high school... Lebron James, Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant or Dirk Nowitzki and win a championship?
