The New York Yankees signed Raul Ibanez to a 1 year for 1.1M with $2.9M in incentives.
The move was made right after the A J Burnett trade that happened over the weekend.
His talents come from hitting righthanders well. In 2011 he slugged 20 homeruns with 84 rbi's, but only hit .245 for the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Yankees hope his swing will be well suited for the short porch in right field. He will mainly play as DH for right handers and an emergency outfielder if needed.
