Hip Injuries in the NFL: Latest Frank Gore

The San Francisco 49ers lost All-Pro running back Frank Gore early in Monday Night Football's showcase. The 49ers taking on the Arizona Cardinals seemed like an easy night for the punishing back, but monday night was not his night. After 5 carries and 52 yards and a trip to the locker room, Frank came out of the game. The final outcome a broken hip, a season ending injury.

This is not new to the NFL here is some history of some notable season ending hip injuries.
Sidney Rice - Minnesota Vikings
David Diehl - New York Giants
Ed Reed - Baltimore Ravens
Jammal Brown - New Orleans Saints
Dez Bryant - Dallas Cowboys early season
Brandon Marshall - Miami Dolphins

But nobody can forget the most prolific hip injury in history.
