2012 NL MVP Buster Posey San Francisco Giants also wins Comeback Player of the Year and Hank Aaron Award along with the World Series Title.

Buster Posey

The inspirational leader Buster Posey of the San Francisco Giants wins the 2012 NL MVP. He wins with 422 points clearly taking out the second place winner Ryan Braun who had 285 points.

As a catcher to win the title was an accomplishment in itself. It has been 40 years since Johnny Bench in 1972 was the last catcher won the NL MVP for the Cincinnati Reds.
Johnny Bench
Posey not only had an MVP season but he did it as the 2012 Comeback Back Player of the YEAR since an injury from a collision at the plate took him out of the game last year.

The time off must have helped him take focus on hitting from which this season he excelled to the point of winning the Hank Aaron Award with a .336 batting average, 24 home runs and 103 runs batted in.

The excellent play of Posey (once NL Rookie of the Year) and the leadership that he brought to the pitching staff is tremendous from such a young player. But, he was very instrumental to the outstanding season for the San Francisco Giants as they won the 2012 World Series over the Detroit Tigers and their MVP Miguel Cabrera.

So lets all Congratulate Buster Posey the NL MVP winner!
