Josh Hamilton Double-A Frisco Rough Riders Rangers Affiliate Rehab Game 5.19.2011

The Frisco RoughRiders got a lift this week with Josh Hamilton rehabbing his broken arm helped the Double-A minor league club sweep the Midland RockHounds.

Thurday night's game, the last game in Frisco before heading up to Triple-A Round Rock Express and before heading up to the big club Texas Rangers started out rough for the RoughRiders.

Trailing 0-4 in the bottom of the third was not fun to watch as Chris Mobley could not find the plate and when he did the RockHounds seem to know where it was going and gone it went, so he was pulled before the third inning!

The third inning the RoughRiders caught fire after a single by Renny Osuna the bat of Josh Hamilton came through with a sacrifice fly and rbi to get it all started.

Jonathon Greene, Jose Ruiz and Guilder Rodriguez added some pop to put runs on the board and happy fans in the seats.

The short night of Mobley put the bullpen to the test and Adalberto Flores the winning pitcher, Ramon Aguero who got the hold and Fabio Castillo came through with the save finished up 7 strong innings for the win!

Josh Hamilton Texas Rangers Sliding into Home Breaks Right Arm DL Time

Josh Hamilton headed to the DL AGAIN!!

Texas Rangers are having their annual stint without their slugger Josh Hamilton! It looks like Josh will be out 6 to 8 weeks with a broken upper right arm. He suffered the break while trying to slide headfirst into home plate in a loss to the Detroit Tigers tuesday evening.

One of the crowd favorites David Murphy will see more playing time and get the chance to see more at bats. To fill the roster spot a call up of Chris Davis may be in the works.

Rangers fans need to thank the early lead in the AL west to carry them thru the weeks to come without the center piece of their offense.
