Baseball Babe #101 Carlos Pena Tampa Bay Rays 1st Grand Slam of season on Opening Day.
Coming home for Carlos Pena must feel real good. The Tampa Bay Rays fans must have accepted him with open arms. The slugger rewarded the fans with a grand slam that helped the Rays defeat the Evil Empire of the New York Yankees 7-6 at home. The strike out king had two strikeouts but all he needed was the one swing that changed it all in the first inning off of ace CC Sabathia.
Welcome Home Carlos Pena!

Baseball Babe #58 Honors David Price Tampa Bay Rays 12 K's
The overpowering David Price took the mound Friday night with a mission to tke down my lifelong favorite team the Cleveland Indians. I wish he would have stayed home because he was dominate. His stuff was nasty and made the first place Indians hitters look at the catchers mitt too many times instead of over the wall. The Tampa Bay Rays pitcher only allowed 4 hits and walked two to get his 6th win of the year! As an Indian fan, I tip my hat back at you!

Team record breaking day for switch hitter Ben Zobrist in the doubleheader with the Tampa Bay Rays and the Minnesota Twins both Rays wins.
In the first game of the doubleheader Ben hit 8 RBI's which tied the team record for RBI's in a single game, home run and two doubles helped to get the record.
He kept the bat hot in the second game and another home run a two run shot that added two more RBI's for good measure.
The day netted 10 RBI's and earned today's honor.

Manny Ramirez : Cleveland Indians thru Tampa Bay Rays Retires
Manny Ramirez hangs up the cleats! Hall of Famer?
Offical Website: http://mannyramirez.com/
Remember When?
Look at all that raw talent! Collecting Manny Ramirez as a Cleveland Indians fan was a top priority hoping that his talent would take him to the Hall of Fame!
In Cleveland he brought many of fans to their feet just watching the him fill up the stat sheet night after night! Legendary bombs that kept the bases empty. Kenny Lofton on and boom he's off! Manny in an Indians uniform was one of our all time greats!
He may have wore out his welcome in Boston as a Red Sox slugger, but no one can deny his impact in the early years that he was able to get his team to the World Series and earning him the MVP!
The Los Angeles Dodgers paid Manny big bucks for the NL West title, and he showed why he always deserved the monies! Manny Being Manny!
The Chicago White Sox got the ugly head of the decline in Manny with only one home run in 24 games!
If the White Sox got the head of the decline the Tampa Bay Rays booed their way to the butt! Speculation of failed drug test may be the reason for the retirement? Sad day! Manny's last hooray in 2011 netted 5 games 17 at bats with one hit! That is a far cry from my hopes as an Indians fan and admired him with the Wahoo on his head!
Thanks Manny from us Indians Fans!
