Almost Perfect!
The tension had Yu Darvish and Texas baseball fans from the Texas Rangers to the Houston Astros sitting on the edge of their seats, glued to their televisions or holding their beers waiting for the PERFECT GAME celebration.
Eight and two-thirds innings of 14 strike out shutout baseball with no one but Rangers touching first base .....then it happened Marwin Gonzalez (WHO?).
Marwin, the utility infielder, a career .234 hitter of the projected last place Houston Astros slapped a liner right threw the legs of Yu Darvish to end an outstanding "Almost Perfect" pitching performance.
