They got Yu! Japanese sensation Yu Darvish signs with Texas Rangers for 6 years.

The Darvish jersey's can now start flying off the shelves in Texas.
Nolan Ryan and Jon Daniels pulled it off in the waining hours. The Yu Darvish contract is worth an estimated $60 million with a $10 million in incentives added to the contract. The $51,703.411 winning bid for the rights to negotiate added to the contract will put just under $112 million to $122 million dollars for a player that will need to fill in as an ace for the Rangers.
The framework 6'5" and 185lb pitching righthanded phenom will bring some electric stuff over the pond to add to pitching staff that led the team to the World Series two years in a row.

Last year Darvish played for the Hokkaida Nippon Ham Fighters Japanese Professional Baseball and had the success winning 18 games to warrant the tremendous hype to compete with Tim Tebow. His numbers were phenomenal with an era of 1.44 and 276 K's and only 36 walks in 232 innings shows the talent in Japan was worth the look in the states and Texas hopes it pans out. This was his 5th year with Nippon that put together he was 76 wins - 28 losses with a career 1.72 ERA. He recorded 1083 strikeouts to just 221 walks in 1024.1 innings pitched. Granted this is against Japanese players and not the likes of Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez and Adrian Gonzalez, but the Rangers have $122 million dollars in confidence they have their ace that can possibly win 20 games plus over six years.
There have been busts or Japanese players that became Major Leaguers that saw their numbers elevate when pitching against the talents in the MLB.
The Texas Rangers have the best pitching coaches in the majors with Mike Maddux coach and Greg Maddux special assistance as the leaders implementing Nolan Ryan's philosophy. The team hopes with the talent that Darvish possess that the scouts have all suggested was ace material  should have a much more positive outcome than previous Japanese players and ultimately get them back in the World Series.
