Baseball Babe #94 Honors Bartolo Colon Oakland Athletics 1st win of 2012 in Tokyo, Japan.

The premature opening series of the 2012 MLB season between the A's and Mariners was tied up with a win 4-1 by the great pitching effort of Bartolo Colon. His first win since July 30th last year was a great start for him and the Oakland Athletics. Colon threw eight solid innings giving up a solo shot in the seventh inning to Seattle Mariners first baseman  Justin Smoak. Colon had a line of 8IP, 3H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 6K and an ERA of 1.12 and will hope to keep that as momentum when coming back to the States.
To help Colon a home run barrage by Jonny Gomes, Yoenis Cespedes, and Josh Reddick gave him the offense that sealed the win.
