The Vincent Jackson signed contact worth $55.55M over five years was available to sign due to the non franchise tag by the San Diego Chargers and the Bucs pounced on him quickly!
Young quarterback Josh Freeman now has the speed out on the wing to spread the offense and help take pressure off of emerging star wide out Mike Williams. The middle and short stuff will also be available for Arrelious Benn another youngster that will benefit from some lanes to run in on game days!
The 29 year old ex Charger who drafted him in 2005 (61st overall) may regret losing such a talent. This all may have been brought on by the lockout in 2010 and one year deal last year for about $11M. The talent is undeniable and Bucs fans have to be elated!
