NFL Draft Alert: St. Louis Rams trade #2 Pick to Washington Redskins targets Baylor RG3 Robert Griffin III

The 2011 Heisman Trophy winner looks to be heading to the quarterback starved Washington Redskins as they pulled off a huge trade with St. Louis Rams for the #2 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
The trade involved trading the Rams 2012 #2 overall pick for Redskins 2012 #6 overall pick , 2012  2nd round pick and 2013 and 2014 first round picks.
The move will catapult them over other teams likely to sign or sign and trade RG3. This is still speculating that Andrew Luck will be drafted by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Ram's trading down had too many holes to fill and believe they still have a franchise quarterback in Sam Bradford. They still hope to leverage to be able to get Oklahoma State's wide receiver Justin Blackmon to pair up with Bradford for years to come.

The Redskins hope that getting a solid quarterback can put them back to contention in the NFC. Last year was disappointing with Donovan McNabb, Rex Grossman and John Beck behind center. The trio just never could take it to the next level with way two many interceptions.

The St. Louis Rams are in the drivers seat of the 2012 NFL Draft as they have the draft picks to still make moves to better their chances of landing the can't miss. The Redskins feel like they may have just traded for their franchise quarterback leaving the Peyton Manning saga to the rest of the NFL!
